Re: Daikin Remote - older model
OK ... narrowed it a bit further. It is only 3 bits as I had thought - I confirmed by checking against the Modes I am certain of, and no difference consistently if the 4th bit is 0 or 1. MODE 0 = INVALID - Doesn't power up or do anything MODE 1 = Powers up and starts fan immediately ... not sure wha...

Daikin Remote - older model
Hi. We have a couple of AC units in the house we bought 10 years ago - a Mitsubishi and a Daikin. Both have "clone" remotes that work, but don't decode all the available functions listed in the operations manual. The Mitsubishi is OK as with help from AnalysIR software & blog I was abl...

Re: Mitsubishi AC MSZ-GA71VA & AnalysIR
Yep good point about the duty cycle ... easy enough to change to 50%. As for the LEDC stuff, sure. Code still has a way to go to my end result, but the PWM bit seems to work well. Essentially my starting point was your blog post "Simple Infrared PWM on Arduino, Part 3 – Hex IR Signals". I ...

Mitsubishi AC MSZ-GA71VA & AnalysIR
Really happy with the AnalysIR software & support. I've been working on the remote for a Mitsubishi MSZ-GA71VA and was starting from scratch with my understanding of AC IR codes. Using a combination of AnalysIR, my Oscilloscope and details from the AnalysIR blog, I now have a reasonable understa...

Re: Newbie questions / clarifications
Thanks for the confirmation of inverted logic ... that's good to know. I'll give the sketch a try soon, thanks.

Newbie questions / clarifications
Hi (long post, apologies), I've recently retired and restarted my old hobbies - electronics, coding etc ... currently learning to use Arduino Nano, Mega and ESP32. I've been getting to know the various I/O devices and how I might use them in practical projects - the most recent is an IR Sensor. I pl...
