Purchase Information

Post by PieroSpeciale »

Hi to everybody,
I tried to use the contact form but I get always the same message:
Sorry, email message could not be delivered.

In order to purchase your AnalysIR Software PRO, I would like to know if it has integrated complete air conditioner codes database and what brands.

Moreover I want to use it with raspberry to control Air Conditioners. I need Lirc Library or can you recommend better libraries ?

I'm waiting for Your feedback

Best Regards

Hi Piero

Thanks for the heads up on the contact form.

We do not include a database for AC protocols in AnalysIR. I am not aware of any that are publicly available.

AnalysIR is an advanced tool for decoding & reverse engineering IR Protocols and would be a good tool if you wanted to build your own DB or clean up an existing one.

You can download a restricted demo version of AnalysIR from our website, which should give you a feel for it.

At this stage there is well over 100 IR protocols supported by AnalysIR both TV & AC ones (representing tens of thousands of devices).

You will get a list of AC protocols in the User guide within the installation package & demo. Although in our latest 'dev' release there are even a few more.

AFAIK, there is no other application available that covers such a broad range of AC protocols or even comes close.

Usually we will add unknown protocols to AnalysIR for new users (about 2 for free & may charge a fee if more are required for a individual company/user).

LIRC is the only such tool available on Linux/Rpi. However, if you wanted to use our A.IR shield Nano, or LearnIR it would be possible to use them via USB serial to send/receive IR Signals.
FYI: AnalysIR, also exports in LIRC .conf format and many other industry formats.

I hope this addresses your questions.

PS: we will also be releasing an A.IR shield for ESP8266/NodeMCU, in addition to our existing A.IR shield Photon - which also cover usage via WiFi. These could also be accessed via RPi without LIRC, with some scripting.

Hi,
Thank you for your answers.

I need to control multiple AC of multiple brands with only one master device and so I would use your software to get the necessary repository of AC codes.

I don't understand these:
We do not include a database for AC protocols in AnalysIR. I am not aware of any that are publicly available.
So if I purchase your software pro I will get the more of 100 AC codes already decoded with this program, it's right ?

Can I use Your software to import the AC codes from other databases (i.e. PRONTO) and export it to LIRC ?

When I export the decoded AC to LIRC I have in any case manipolate it because it is a lirc raw and not a lirc.conf formatted for use with lirc. It' right ?

Why I have to use you software and not the irrecord integratend in lirc ?

Waiting for tour feedback
Thank you very much

we have a large number of users who do just this with AC units.

We do not use a database. We support decoding of IR signals. The Timings of each supported protocols is available within the application.
As far as I know, there is no AC signal database available to purchase.
So if I purchase your software pro I will get the more of 100 AC codes already decoded with this program, it's right ?
It is actually split between AC signals and signals of TV/media devices. However, there is a large number of common AC units covered. You can check the full list by downloading the demo and looking at the User guide.

'Decoded' means you get the HEX values of the signals, which means you can use the tools provided in AnalysIR to reverse engineer the protocol. Some of our users have already published the full details of protocols on our blog or Github. FYI: AnalysIR is used by a large number of companies around the world to build up their own signal Databases.

Yes..and many other industry formats.
When I export the decoded AC to LIRC I have in any case manipolate it because it is a lirc raw and not a lirc.conf formatted for use with lirc. It' right ?
AnalysIR can export in LIRC .conf file format , which can be used directly with LIRC ( the formatting is RAW within the .conf file)
Why I have to use you software and not the irrecord integratend in lirc ?
You don't have to use our software. You could try to use any other utility that may be available, write your own scripts or do it all by hand....
If you mean just for recording, we use LIRC mode2 to record the signals in Linux/RPi and send them over the network directly to AnalysIR in real-time or you can use many other devices, including the ones we sell.

Hello,
My company bought for me the license of your software, but I can't insert it because the signature is different...

What is the procedure for using it?

Thanks for your help

Hi

I presume you changed PC hardware or upgraded the OS?

Just email us the new Signature for the initial AnalysIR Window to support@********.com.

(replace ******** with AnalysIR)

You should use the email address you used when originally purchasing AnalysIR. (Alternatively include the PayPal reference number of the payment)
