I will assume you mean TSMP58000 (vs tsop58000 )

The sketch you linked is not designed for that IR Learner, which outputs a modulated IR signal.

You can try something like a TSOP34438 or similar, with that sketch.

There is also a post on our blog which shows how to use an IR receiver, to capture an IR signal.

With AnalysIR, we also provide firmware that makes use of both a TSOP IR receiver and also an optional TSMP58000(just to capture the carrier frequency).

If you post the device you are trying to control, I might know the answer.

Alternatively, just try/test all the common frequencies [30,33,36.38,40,56]kHz and use the one that works.

For a better solution, most of the modules in our webshop(link in the header above), measure carrier frequency when used with our AnalysIR application.

IRLIB may also support this, using the TSMP58000.

You could also try this from our blog: https://www.analysir.com/blog/2014/05/2 ... eceiver-2/

It may also work with a tsmp58000 (I have not tested that),- you will probably have to adjust the code to account for the inverted logiv of the TSMP.
