I noticed that the IRDA module supports a limited number of BAUD rates only.
If none of them work, then it might help to tap into the raw RXIR signal as per FIg2

If all else fails, you could try the following sketch & circuit.

All you need is an IR LED & 2 resistors, plus an arduino. The output can be used by AnalysIR.
A further option would be our Silver Bullet, which plugs into an oscilloscope, but you would have to manually decode from the scope's image.

Hello -- Are there any other options need to change within Coolterm in regards to data bits, stop bits, parity, etc..?
If the USBSerial is rated for 115,200, will it also operate lower?

You can select most BAUD rates...no problem.
PS: Unfortunately, I wont be able to follow up for a while, due to travel etc

I am pretty sure the later version will not help.
So if you want me to cancel the order let me know within 24 hours. (otherwise we will ship it out)
If you have access to an oscilloscope, using an approach like the silver bullet I linked above is probably the best approach at this stage. Or just simply probing using a scope, if you can open the unit up. There are cheap Logic analyzers available online (<$10) that would do the same job, if you can open the units.
