I noticed that the IRDA module supports a limited number of BAUD rates only.
If none of them work, then it might help to tap into the raw RXIR signal as per FIg2

If all else fails, you could try the following sketch & circuit.

All you need is an IR LED & 2 resistors, plus an arduino. The output can be used by AnalysIR.
A further option would be our Silver Bullet, which plugs into an oscilloscope, but you would have to manually decode from the scope's image.
